Pella Engraving Company adds third partner

Brent Jansen, a 15-year employee of PEC, has recently been made a partner at the company. Currently, Brent is shop manager and oversees the production and quality of the Plaque Department.

Brent got his start at PEC after his father alerted him that there was an open position. He applied and has been part of the team ever since.

The opportunity to become a partner came as a surprise—"I was busy working one day, when my bosses (co-owners Jeff Vroom and Bruce Van Wyk) pulled me aside and confronted me with the opportunity to become a partner—and I accepted," said Brent.

Brent says that becoming a partner will give him a greater opportunity to help PEC continue to be a successful business. "My role will change as I assume more responsibilities and push myself to be a positive influence to my coworkers and those around me," he said.

"I hope to always have good relationships and respect with our customer base as well as my coworkers," continued Brent. "I think a big challenge for myself, as it is to many other people, is to stay true to myself and my faith and to always try to improve on that."

Brent comes from a very close family of eight siblings. He and his wife and daughter love traveling, spending time with their dog Candi, and going on walks and enjoying nature.
